Cramer Named Big Ten Freshman of the Week

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern freshman diver Andrew Cramer has been named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week, the Big Ten Conference announced today.
Cramer (Indianapolis, Ind./Cathedral) placed first in the one-meter (315.14) and three-meter (351.45) diving competitions in Northwestern's Big Ten win over Iowa Saturday. Both performances met NCAA Zone Diving standards.
The honor marks Cramer's second Big Ten weekly honor of his college career for the freshman. He was named Big Ten Diver of the Week on Nov. 19.
He is Northwestern's first diver to win Diver of the Week in school history.
Coming off a thrilling Big Ten win over Iowa, which was clinched on the day's final event by winning the 400 yard free relay, Northwestern travels to UW-Milwaukee for the Wildcats final dual of the regular season. After NU's meet with the Panthers, the 'Cats will compete in the Big Ten Championships in Ann Arbor, Mich. From Feb. 26 to March 1. Friday's meet against UW-Milwaukee begins at 5:00 p.m. CT.
