Freshman Andrew Jovanovic Named to National Junior Team

EVANSTON, Ill.-Northwestern freshman Andrew Jovanovic has been named to the USA Swimming 2013-14 Junior National Team in the 100 backstroke.
Jovanovic recorded a time of 56.41 in the 100 backstroke during the US Open.
The freshman from Chicago (Loyola Academy) was ranked as the No. 12 overall recruit in the nation and No. 2 in Illinois by Collegeswimming.com.
Jovanovic was a four-time Illinois state champion, winning titles in the 50 free, 100 back and 100 fly (twice) and setting in the Illinois state record in the 100 back during prelims at the 2013 state meet.
