BOSTON -- Northwestern wrapped up its East Coast road trip Sunday night at Boston University. With a goal in each half, the Terriers captured the 2-0 victory over the 'Cats.

After starting the second half of Friday's contest and helping the Wildcats come back to tie Northeastern, 1-1 in double overtime, freshman goalkeeper Jenna Hascher made her first career start Sunday at BU. Both teams were even at a shot a piece in the early minutes but BU's Madison Clemens put one past Hascher in the 17th minute, giving the Terriers the 1-0 lead. NU had the 5-4 advantage on shots in the first half but were unable to score on BU keeper Alyssa Parisi.

Boston University then scored an insurance goal in the 70th minute to take the 2-0 lead. The Terriers finished with the 9-6 advantage on shots, but both teams were even in shots on goal with four each.

Freshman Kaitlin Moore made her first career start and fellow newcomer Maria Grygleski had an active game for the Wildcats off the bench with two of the team's four shots on goal. Four other players recorded a shot while Hascher finished with two saves. Prior to Sunday's contest, Hasher had not surrendered a goal in 96 minutes.

Northwestern is back in action Thursday, playing another nonconference road match at Valparaiso at 7:30 p.m. CT. The Wildcats then return home to host Alumni Weekend, and Dartmouth, Sunday, Sept. 8 at Lakeside Field. Match time is set for 1 p.m.
