EVANSTON, Ill. -- As the dog days of August training camp roll into the official start of the 2013 season, fans of Northwestern Football know the one-stop source for up-to-the-minute digital access to the Wildcats program: TheWildcatWay.com. Recently re-launched to feature the latest social media platforms, TheWildcatWay.com is the place to go behind the scenes with head coach Pat Fitzgerald and the 'Cats on their quest for a Big Ten championship.
Below is a look at a few of the new features of TheWildcatWay.com 2.0:
• #B1GCats Instagram Galleries: Event-specific Instagram galleries mean that you could see your Northwestern Football Instagraph photos on TheWildcatWay.com, simply by including the hashtag #B1GCats in your post.
• Instagram Videos: These brief video snapshots provide candid behind-the-scenes looks at Northwestern Football, and soon will include player and coach introductions to help you get to know the Wildcats.
• Vine Gallery: Any Vine video posted by @NUFBFamily throughout the season will be available to browse, all on one page.
• Game Recaps: Every Saturday during the season, relive the Wildcats action through social media summaries of the game and postgame infographics.
• Updated Twitter Directory: Want to know who you should be following to talk Northwestern Football? The NU Football Twitter Directory makes it easy, categorizing recommended users by Coaches and Staff, current Northwestern student-athletes, former Wildcats in the NFL, Notable Northwestern Alums, Media Members, and members of the Northwestern Athletics family.
In addition, TheWildcatWay.com continues to provide the latest embedded Northwestern Football YouTube videos, which just in the last month has included practice helmet cams, candid looks at the Wildcats trips to downtown Chicago and the first installation of "The Hunt," an all-access pass to training camp with the 'Cats.
