Wildcats Take on B1G Basketball Media Day

ROSEMONT, Ill. -- Northwestern's men's and women's basketball programs joined their conference brethren on Thursday for the annual Big Ten Basketball Media Day at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Rosemont.

NU's men's program was represented by first-year head coach Chris Collins as well as redshirt senior Drew Crawford and junior Dave Sobolewski. The Wildcats' women's team featured the contingent of head coach Joe McKeown, junior Karly Roser and sophomore Maggie Lyon.

Beginning at 8 a.m. and going through noon, members of both programs took their turns doing television interviews with Big Ten Network, ESPN and Fox Sports 1 as well as audio interviews for Sirius/XM as well as a still photo session for BTN. Coaches Collins and McKeown each addressed the media in a press conference format before joining their players for one-on-one interviews along with all 11 other schools. Both Northwestern programs play their lone exhibition games vs. Lewis University at Welsh-Ryan Arena next Wednesday, Nov. 6. The women's game gets underway at 5 p.m., while the men's contest is slated to tip at 7:15.
