Northwestern Releases Fall Competition Schedule

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern head coach Kate Drohan has announced the Wildcats' fall competition schedule, which includes six games at Sharon J. Drysdale Field.
Northwestern will conduct its first practice of the 2013 season on Saturday, Sept. 15, before its first games one week later in an 11 a.m. CT September 22 doubleheader at UIC. NU then immediately returns home to play the remainder of the fall in Evanston. The complete schedule is as follows:
• Sunday, Sept. 23: vs. Loyola (Chicago) (10 a.m. CT)
• Sunday, Sept. 23: vs. Heartland Community College (Noon CT)
• Sunday, Sept. 30: vs. Valparaiso (Noon CT doubleheader)
• Saturday, Oct. 6: vs. Northern Illinois (10 a.m. CT)
• Saturday, Oct. 6: vs. Bradley (2 p.m. CT)
Between Northwestern's two games on Oct. 6, the Wildcats will have a team tailgate in the Ryan Field east parking lot. All of NU's fall games at Sharon J. Drysdale Field are free to attend; tailgating -- as always -- is encouraged.
