Wolf Opens ITA All-American Championships With a Win

TULSA, Okla. - Senior Spencer Wolf opened up the 2012-13 Northwestern men's tennis season Monday with a victory at the ITA All-American Championships.

Wolf, who is ranked No. 69 in the ITA preseason rankings and seeded 12th in the field, defeated Oklahoma State's Chris Haworth 6-1, 7-6 (4) in a first-round qualifying match.

With the victory, Wolf advances to take on JT Sundling of TCU on Tuesday morning. The winner takes on the victor of the match between Sam Monette of Indiana and Jens Vorkefeld of Denver later in the day.
