Northwestern Announces Fall Schedule

EVANSTON, Ill. -- The 2012 season is here! Northwestern begins its work on a new year with its first practice today (Sept. 15) before taking the field twice during fall ball for intercollegiate competition.
Northwestern first hits the diamond as a team when it travels to UIC for a 5 p.m. CT doubleheader on Friday, Sept. 23. These games will be NU's lone contests here in the Chicago area.
Northwestern then competes at the State Farm Illinois Collegiate Softball Championship Oct. 1-2 in Normal, Ill. (501 N. Parkside Road, Normal, IL 61761). NU faces Northern Illinois at 2:30 p.m. CT and SIU-Carbondale at 5 p.m. CT on Saturday, Oct. 1. Sunday's schedule will be determined after Saturday's games.
Northwestern does not have any home fall competitions scheduled this year.
