The Weekend
Northwestern opens the home portion of its schedule this weekend as the 'Cats host the Lakeside Classic Friday and Sunday at Lakeside Field. NU will take on Cincinnati Friday night and Dayton on Sunday afternoon. Loyola Chicago will also compete in the tournament.

Scouting the Bearcats
Cincinnati comes to Evanston this weekend on the heels of a 1-0 victory over its crosstown rival, Xavier. Senior Emily Hebbeler, who led Cincinnati in scoring in 2010, had the goal. The Bearcats have 19 letterwinners back on their squad from last season.

Scouting the Flyers
Dayton enters the weekend with an undefeated record after posting wins over Cal Poly and Middle Tennessee State. The Flyers have already scored 10 goals in those two matches, with junior Colleen Williams responsible for four of them as well as two assists. Dayton has split time in goal between two of its keepers.

Series Information
The Wildcats and Bearcats will meet for the second time in as many seasons Friday. The two sides met last August at a tournament hosted by Wisconsin, where they played to a 0-0, double-overtime draw. Northwestern is 2-0-1 all-time against Cincinnati. Sunday's game will be the first-ever meeting between NU and Dayton.

Last Time Out
Northwestern opened its season last weekend with a hard fought, 1-0 overtime loss at No. 12 Marquette. Freshman Georgia Waddle had a shot that bounced off the post in the final minute of regulation that could have won the game. Another freshman, Anna Cassell, made her collegiate debut in goal for the Wildcats and made five saves in the game.

Lakeside Classic Attendance Note
Friday will be a busy day at Lakeside Field, as the Northwestern men will host Eastern Illinois at 5 p.m., in between the two Lakeside Classic games. Fans planning to attend the women's games should note that the Northwestern ticket office will be charging admission for the men's game beginning at 4 p.m. and ending at halftime, approximately 6 p.m.
