Opening statement...
"It's good to be back in the win column. You know we talked about having a good start, and we got a really good start tonight. We opened up a big lead and we've told these guys, and it's happened a lot in the conference, that teams get a good lead and then the other team makes a big run, but not that often do they come back. And that's what happened tonight. They really came back on us but weren't able to get over the hump. It's happened to us a bunch of times, it's happened to a lot of teams and we're just glad we were able to make some plays there at the end. It was just important for us to get this win."
On hitting as many 3-pointers as they have against Iowa this season...
"Well, we are a good 3-point shooting team. We're averaging about 10 a game. And that's one of the things we do. You don't have to be on fire, but if you're going to win games, if you're a 3-point shooting team, you probably have to hit 30 percent. If you don't get that, you're going to struggle."
On why was it so important to get the win...
"We've lost a few in a row. Too many. But this team isn't quitting. There have been injuries and different things, but you just like to see these guys come out and fight and fight. And Iowa did too. We turned the ball over a few too many times when it's a team you shouldn't turn the ball over against. It wasn't as fluid as we'd like, but we managed to get it done."
On if it's difficult to play another game in less than 48 hours...
"Yeah, as I said out there, it's bad scheduling. You're supposed to have a minimum of two days in between. And this is one day, and you're traveling four hours. It's not right. I'm not going to let these guys use it as an excuse, but Iowa could have come here last night. So, that bothers me."
