Opening Statment...
"It worked out just the way you'd like it to work out. The guys played a little bit and we were able to rest them, which is what our intentions were. Sometimes those things don't work out as you planned, but tonight it did. We've got some guys that are some pretty good players came in there and got some time. I thought they looked real good out there. Some of those guys that don't play can look disorderly, greedy and look like scrubs. And that's what we always tell them; when you get out there don't look like a scrub. Look like you belong there. I think they did a real nice job. I am just happy with the outcome, to be able to rest guys and I just like the fact that we were passing the ball around a lot and were very unselfish."
On how much resting John Shurna will help him...
"It can't hurt so I am going to try and con him into thinking that it is a really important. We played Tuesday night at 8:00 and then we were off yesterday, Wednesday. He was off today, Thursday. Tomorrow he'll go [at practice], but limited repetitions. He'll get on the bike and stay in shape. It should work out pretty nicely for us."
On a convincing win without Shurna...
"We have some pretty good players and it is what you would hope for. Different guys came through and I just like when the ball is moving around. In these kind of games, guys say, 'Well, what about my average, points per game.' I have seen it happen so many times and you know I did not see that tonight which I was real happy about."
On being focused this year as opposed to a close game against Texas-Pan American last year...
"Maybe we're a little better this year. We have been playing pretty decently for a couple of weeks now. That's a new program. So you know they are going to get better next year in the conference. He will build his team up. It is hard for me to compare this year to last year's team. I think that they are going to get better and better they just need some time."
