EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern will venture away from familiar Sharon J. Drysdale Field for the first time in Big Ten play for a Wednesday, April 7, doubleheader at Iowa scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. CT.

The Hawkeyes are the lone 4-0 Big Ten team after two weekends of play, beginning their conference slate with sweeps of Michigan State and Indiana to improve to 18-13 overall on the season. The Wildcats also began the Big Ten with a sweep (over Purdue) before dropping a pair of contests to No. 18 Illinois.

Please note that the 4 p.m. start time Wednesday is different than the 5 p.m. CT first pitch orginally publicized on the Northwestern and Big Ten Web sites. Both of the games will be streamed live in high quality on BigTenNetwork.com and later re-aired in high definition on the Big Ten Network. The re-air schedule is located lower on this page.

Freshman Emily Allard has continued her stellar offensive play atop the lineup in recent weeks, maintaining a .361 batting average with a team-best 20-for-21 steal rate once she reaches base.

Junior Michelle Batts has raised her batting average nearly .040 points with base hits in seven of Northwestern's last eight games, driving in eight and launching a pair of home runs during that stretch as well.

Following the Iowa doubleheader, Northwestern will step out of conference with a rare April plane trip down to Alabama to face the sixth-ranked Crimson Tide in a two-game series April 10-11.
