EVANSTON, Ill. -- Let's play two! Northwestern will take a brief respite from a seven-game road swing this Wednesday, April 14, when it hosts Minnesota for a Big Ten doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. CT at Sharon J. Drysdale Field.

Both games will be broadcast live in high quality on BigTenNetwork.com on a pay-per-view basis. Each contest costs $2.99; separate purchases are required to view both games. The broadcasts then will be re-aired in high definition on the Big Ten Network. The re-broadcast schedule is listed lower on this page.

Minnesota enters the midweek double dip after a sweep at the hands of No. 2 Michigan over the weekend. The Wildcats will travel to take on the Wolverines this Saturday and Sunday, April 17-18. Northwestern returns to Big Ten play after traveling down to Tuscaloosa, Ala., for a two-game series with the sixth-ranked Crimson Tide, who took both contests from the 'Cats.

Northwestern continues to excel at the plate with both power and speed, ranking in the top-20 in the nation this week in both home runs per game and stolen bases per game. The Wildcats are 14th in the country with 2.09 steals per contest, boasting the NCAA Division I's third-best conversion rate at .918 (67-for-73). In the homer category, Northwestern is sending balls out of the park a 1.19 per game clip, good for 20th in the nation. Four different Wildcats have eight or more home runs on the season.

Included in that total is Nicole Pauly's eight blasts, which give her 48 home runs in her career. She is two shy of reaching the 50 home run plateau, a benchmark notched previously at NU by just two prior 'Cats: Garland Cooper and Tammy Williams.
