Peace, Love and NUSB: Entry 3

As you can see the 'Cats have already found a good balance between hard work and a lot of fun. Finishing off the weekend in Bloomington 3-1, the 'Cats learned early how much power they could produce from the plate. The 'Cats started Saturday off right with a 14-2 win over Western Illinois and finished up the day with a 13-5 (5) run-rule victory over Heartland College. After an 8-4 loss to DePaul Sunday morning, the 'Cats rallied to come back and defeat Illinois State 10-2 in just five innings. Putting up a whopping 41 runs total, Northwestern had an overall successful weekend.

With our fall games over, we are entering Phase 2 of our year which means it's the time for the 'Cats to bear down and show what they're made of. There's no doubt that the next eight weeks will be spent digging in and working on every aspect of our game. The training gets tougher, practice gets more intense, but come February, the 'Cats will be unstoppable.

So if you want to see these kittens clawing their way through stadium runs, sweating through ramp workouts and getting strong in the weight room keep tuning into the blog for the most up close and personal footage you can get.

Until next time,

Peace, Love and NUSB

GO CATS!
