Graves, Wolf Alive in Doubles at ITA Regional Championships

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- On Saturday at the ITA Midwest Regional Championships hosted by Notre Dame, Northwestern's tandem of junior Joshua Graves and sophomore Spencer Wolf advanced to the round of 16 in doubles with a gutty 9-8 (6) tiebreaker win over Michigan State's John Stratton and Austin Brooks.

Graves and Wolf march on to face Cleveland State's Robert Fox and John Haley when the doubles tournament resumes Sunday afternoon.

In singles action, Graves notched a second-round victory over Michigan's Barrett Franks, 6-1, 6-2, before falling in the round of 16 to Illinois' Dennis Nevolo, 6-1, 6-0.

Sophomore Sidarth Balaji also had his singles run halted by Ohio State's Devin McCarthy in two sets, 6-4, 6-2.

Action resumes Sunday at 8 a.m. CT with the quarterfinal round of singles, followed by doubles competition. Complete results, brackets and schedules are available on Notre Dame's official ITA Midwest Regional Championships website linked at the top of the page.
