The season has sure gone by really quickly so far, and I just recently had my last home dual meet. That was a tough experience because these 4 years have flown by, and freshmen and incoming Wildcats really won't understand how that feels until they are in that position. However, I also have my final dual meet coming up at Ohio State. I am really excited about this because I spent most of my life in Columbus and competed at Ohio State during high school, so I am really glad that my last 3 possible meets (Dual meet vs. OSU, Big Tens, and NCAAs) are all at Ohio State.
One of the biggest things I have learned so far while at Northwestern is that you need to take advantage of every opportunity that is presented to you. Being at a world-class university like Northwestern presents you with so many opportunities that probably won't be presented to you again in your life. The opportunities, both academic and professional, that being on the team has presented me cannot be measured, and the decision to come to Northwestern will affect every aspect of my life after graduation.
I am extremely excited for the future of Northwestern Swimming, and am glad that I will be living in Chicago after graduation so that I can witness their progress. Congratulations to all of the future Wildcats who have signed with us this year...you made a great decision academically and athletically, and you have a great future ahead of you.
