Wildcat Football Watch Party in Wrigleyville on Saturday

EVANSTON, Ill. — Before singing the 7th Inning Stretch at the Cubs game in May, Coach Fitz stopped by Mullen's on Clark to talk with fans about the upcoming season. Now that football is in full swing, Mullen's is teaming up with the Northwestern Alumni Association to host another important event for Wildcat fans -- a Watch Party for Saturday's game against Syracuse that is being televised on ESPN Game Plan and ESPN360.
The game will be shown in the upstairs area of Mullen's (3527 N. Clark) at 6:10 p.m. All fans are are invited to take advantage of the Wildcat specials during the game and enter to win tickets to the Wildcats' home game against Wisconsin on Nov. 21.
"We are happy Mullen's was able to accommodate our Watch Party request on such short notice," said Tracie Hitz, associate athletic director for sales and marketing. "When we found out the game would be on TV, we reached out to the NU Alumni Association to provide fans with a familiar place to cheer on the team with other Wildcat fans."
Fans can also watch the game in Evanston at Tommy Nevin's (1554 Sherman Avenue) and in Chicago at the ESPN Zone. For more information about the Wildcat Watch Party, please e-mail wildcatmarketing@northwestern.edu.
NU's next home game is against Minnesota on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 11 a.m. Tickets are still available so be sure to purchase yours today. Arrive early to Ryan Field to welcome the team to the stadium as part of the Walk With Us tradition on Walker Way. Plus, stop by the free pregame fan fest area, Wildcat Alley that features games, the Marching Band, face painting, Willie the Wildcat, the Goose Island Beer Garden and more! Wildcat Alley opens two hours before every home game and is located just a few yards north of the stadium.
