NU Volleyball To Host Coaches Drill Clinic August 15

EVANSTON, Ill. -- With the 2009 volleyball season just around the corner, the Northwestern coaching staff is inviting area high school coaches to a drill clinic on Saturday, Aug. 15, at Welsh-Ryan Arena -- the home court of the Wildcats. Head coach Keylor Chan and assistant coaches Kirstine Jensen and Aaron Smith will host the three-hour session, focused solely on drills.
The clinic will take place during a Wildcat practice, as coaches will see first-hand how drills are executed by the 2009 Northwestern volleyball team. It will give area high school coaches some new ideas for the upcoming year, as well as a chance to see a collegiate-level practice up close.
Check-in begins at 2 p.m., with practice lasting from 2:30 until 5:30. The coaches will then be available for a Q & A session afterwards. The cost for the clinic is $35 for the first coach and $25 for each additional staff member.
