Northwestern to Compete in 2009 Chicago Invitational Challenge

EVANSTON, Ill. -
Northwestern's men's basketball program will compete in the fourth-annual Chicago Invitational Challenge to be held Nov. 27-28, 2009 at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Ill. Besides the Wildcats, this year's tournament field includes Notre Dame, Iowa State, Saint Louis, Liberty, Mississippi Valley State, Tennessee State and Kennesaw State.
Rounds one and two (dates to be determined) will be played at Northwestern, Notre Dame, Iowa State and Saint Louis, with the final rounds being held during the Thanksgiving weekend Nov. 27-28 at the Sears Centre.
NU and the Fighting Irish will square off Nov. 27, as will Iowa State and Saint Louis. The winners of those two games will play one another the following day, as will the two losers of Friday's contests. Game times are to be determined.
It will be the first meeting between Northwestern and the Fighting Irish since Nov. 29, 1984.

Tournament pass prices are $109 for floor seats, $98 for club level, $87 for lower bowl and $65 for upper bowl and are good for all eight games.
