EVANSTON, Ill. - Craig Moore established himself as one of the top 3-point shooters not only in Northwestern history, but also in Big Ten history during his collegiate career. Thursday night he goes toe-to-toe with the other top long-range bombers in the country as he competes in the 21st Annual State Farm 3-Point Shootout at The Palace in Auburn Hills, Mich.

The event is being televised at 8 p.m. CT on ESPN.

Moore, who ranks first in NU annals and fourth in Big Ten history with 320 career 3-pointers, squares off against seven other competitors. The field includes Jimmy Baron (Rhode Island), John Grotberg (Grinnell), Erik Kangas (Oakland), Kyle McAlarney (Notre Dame), Jack McClinton (Miami, Fla.), Alex Ruoff (West Virginia) and Booker Woodfox (Creighton).

Moore bested his own previous Northwestern single-season record with 110 triples during the 2008-09 season. He led the Big Ten and ranks eighth in the nation with an average of 3.55 3-point makes per game.

The evening's festivities also include a women's 3-point shootout as well as a slam dunk competition.
