Feb. 25, 2009

Recap |  Box Score

• Northwestern's 22-point margin of victory is its largest in a Big Ten road game since a 77-20 win at Chicago Jan. 14, 1944.

• The Wildcats' win over Indiana is their first in Bloomington since an 86-81 victory Jan. 13, 1968 (snapped 35-game losing streak at IU) and the first win ever at Assembly Hall.

• The victory marks NU's first season sweep of the Hoosiers since the 1967-68 campaign.

• The 22-point win is the largest by any Big Ten road team in conference play this season.

• Northwestern's 75 points mark a tie for the second-highest point total in a Big Ten road game under head coach Bill Carmody (W, 77-68 at Iowa; Jan. 10, 2004).

• The victory improves NU to 6-9 this season in Big Ten play. It is the fifth time in head coach Bill Carmody's nine seasons that the team has posted at least six Big Ten wins. That total had been achieved just five times in previous 31 seasons prior to Carmody's arrival in Evanston.

Craig Moore hit five 3-pointers in the contest to raise his career total to 302. In the process, Moore passed Illinois' Dee Brown for fifth place in Big Ten history.

• Northwestern had five players reach double figures in scoring for the first time this season.
