Northwestern Head Coach Bill Carmody
Opening statement
"A lot of different guys on the team made plays. It could have gone either way. In close games, somebody's got to step up and do something and make plays. (Craig) Moore made all those foul shots. (Jeremy) Nash has been getting a lot of credit for being at the top of that 1-3-1. In the second half, he was really aggressive offensively. It was a team effort. It was hard. Neither team could get shots that easily. At the end, we came through. I'm very happy with (John) Shurna getting off right off the bat. In these conference games, it's tough on the road. We took care of our home court. We're happy."
On Craig Moore's play...
"He's been in the zone for about 18 games. He's been playing really well. He has not played that well against Wisconsin. They've done a good job against him. Tonight he made some deep shots and went to the basket a couple of times, which is not like him. And with those foul shots, he was going to get the ball at the end if we had anything to do with it. He did and he banged them."
On the team's general attitude...
"They're feeling better about themselves. The younger guys are contributing. They're not impact younger guys but they're good younger guys. They're giving us a chance inside. We didn't get dominated on the backboards."
On the season series with Wisconsin...
"You lose by 30 up there. They really dominated us. That's the one game this year I thought a team really stuck it to us. So it's nice to get that win back."
