Tyrell Sutton Invited to NFL Combine in Indianapolis

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Senior running back Tyrell Sutton (Akron, Ohio/Archbishop Hoban) has been invited the NFL Scouting Combine February 18-24 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.
Sutton is coming off a stellar performance at the East-West Shrine Game where he rushed 10 times for 37 yards and a third-quarter touchdown in the East's 24-19 victory over the West. Sutton also averaged 27.3 yards on three kick returns with a long of 30.
Sutton concluded his senior season with 890 yards rushing in nine games, averaging 4.8 yards per carry and finding the end zone six times. He caught 35 passes for 305 yards and two scores to also rank as NU's fourth-leading receiver. Sutton was named an honorable mention All-Big Ten honoree by the conference coaches despite missing the final four league games. He returned for the Alamo Bowl, where he rushed for 114 yards while also catching five passes for 29 yards.
