CHICAGO, Ill. -- The coaching staff and members of Northwestern's softball team traveled down to the Union Park Fieldhouse in early August to hold a clinic for the Girls in the Game, a Chicagoland organization that provides and promotes sports and fitness opportunities, nutrition and health education, and leadership development to enhance the overall health and well-being of all girls.

Since its inception in 1995, Girls in the Game has provided services to over 15,000 girls. The program currently reaches over 2,000 girls throughout Chicago every year.

The Wildcats spent a summer day with the Girls in the Game, teaching various softball skills and participating in a variety of softball related games and activities with the group. View this Photo Gallery to check out some of the fun everyone had together.
