EVANSTON, Ill. -- Members of Northwestern's athletic teams, staff and Wildcat Kids' Club participated in the 87th Evanston Fourth of July Parade last Friday. At the end of the parade route, fans had the opportunity to pick up U.S. Cellular backpacks and other giveaways, meet Willie the Wildcat and take pictures with NU's Big Ten football championship trophies.

The parade started approximately one and a half miles west of Ryan Field on Central St. and ended at the Ryan Field parking lot. Members of Northwestern's field hockey team carried the NU banner while men's soccer, fencing and field hockey coaches, along with players from men's soccer and men's basketball, and NU athletics staff joined in the festivities

Football season tickets are on sale now and single-game tickets go on sale Monday, July 21. The next stop on the Wildcat Coaches' Caravan is at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, July 27. Head football coach Pat Fitzgerald is singing the seventh-inning stretch at Wrigley Field and will be meeting fans at Mullen's on Clark before the game. Mullen's is located at 3527 N.
