Swan Signs Another To National Letter Of Intent

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Head coach Arvid Swan announced the signing of Tobias Reitz (Reinbeck, Germany/Sachsenwaldschule Reinbeck H.S.) to a National Letter of Intent. He will be eligible to compete for the Wildcats beginning this fall.
A German native, Reitz is a highly touted prospect that will bring size and speed to the Wildcats next season. The added depth will give Northwestern a greater chance to compete in both conference play and at the national level in the coming years.
Coach Swan is eager to see the influence that can be made with the addition of a young star. "I believe that Tobias will make an immediate impact in our line-up," said Swan. "I feel strongly that over the next few years he will be able to compete with the best in the Big Ten and the NCAA."
Reitz was recognized in the German Senior Top 150 ranking and also in the Top 50 under 21 (years old). He has competed in numerous ITS Junior Tournaments and Futures events. Reitz' resume boasts several victories over players who have earned ATP points.
Reitz will join an incoming Wildcat class that promises to take-on a new look and competitive prowess next season. The efforts of coach Swan and his staff have already achieved a top 11 recruiting class ranking by TennisRecruiting.net. With the addition of Reitz, Northwestern can expect to see that ranking improve in the coming weeks.
In November, Swan signed Eric Spector (Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook North), Josh Graves (Milwaukee, Wis./Nicolet) and Michael Sicora (Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo) to National Letters of Intent.
