Spring Game Plans Set for Saturday, April 26

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Get your first glimpse of the 2008 Wildcats at noon on Saturday, April 26 at Ryan Field!
Plenty of activities precede and follow this year's annual game, including the inaugural "Walk for Randy" at 9 a.m.
Here is the full list of activities planned for the day:
Saturday, April 26
9 a.m.
Walk for Randy 5K Walk -- Join members of the Class of 2008 as we honor former head coach Randy Walker before the Spring Game.
Register today on NUsports.com for only $15 (plus handling fees) or on the day of the event for $20.
10 a.m.
Wildcat Alley -- The pregame fanfest area will be in a special location, Walker Terrace, but it will still have all of the fun! Enjoy games, music, food, face painting, contests and much more before the game. Admission is free!
11:45 a.m.
Stretch with the 'Cats -- All kids in the eighth grade and under can go on the field to warm up with the Wildcat Football Team! The first 500 kids will receive the official Stretch With The 'Cats t-shirt.
Noon:
Wildcat Football Spring Game -- All Spring Game activities are weather permitting, so be sure to visit NUsports.com for the latest updates. The "Walk for Randy" will go on rain or shine. The game will be broadcast online at www.wgnradio.com. Handling the broadcast will be WGN sports director Dave Eanet and long-time NU football analyst Ted Albrecht. In addition, the Big Ten Network will stream the game live at www.bigtennetwork.com and on NUsports.com. WNUR (89.3 FM) also will carry the game on the radio and online through its web site.
Postgame:
Meet the team, take pictures and get autographs from the Wildcat Football team!
5:30 p.m.
15th Annual Northwestern Gridiron Network (NGN) Dinner and Auction -- Join the Wildcat Football Family for this fundraising event that features a silent auction and dinner. The live auction gets underway at 8:15 p.m. with Pat Fitzgerald, Dave Eanet and Ted Albrecht serving as auction hosts. Hundreds of items are donated for the auction, including some specialty items for 2008: an authentic Masters green jacket signed by 25 former champions, a Brett Favre-autographed jersey and a Hannah Montana-signed photograph.
