Woke up this morning around nine o'clock with the whole house smelling like coffee. Around finals time there are mass amounts of coffee always brewing in my house. The main offender is John Gill. I have seen John Gill down multiple pots of coffee in as little as five hour cram sessions. However, John isn't the only one in my house who enjoys their cup of Joe during finals. Both Kevin Frymire and Kurt Mattes are also frequent users when they need some more energy for studying.

After waking up, Kurt and I decided there is no better way to start a day then by getting a good breakfast in. So, Kurt and I picked up Joel Belding and headed over to Le Peep. Once we got to Le Peep it took a complete thirty seconds to decide what we were having. We all were getting the usual, breakfast burritos that are the size of your head. Kurt and I got our burritos with chorizo, while JB got his with regular sausage.

After breakfast we went to go workout with the rest of the offensive line. We had a lifting session as a unit at noon. But first, I had to drop off a final. As I pulled next to the building where I thought I had to drop off the paper, I heard complaints from Kurt that I was in the wrong place. However, I was so sure that I was right that I dismissed Kurt and went with my original plan. I headed back to the car five minutes later with my head down, preparing myself for the crap that I was going to get from Kurt. I finally got the right building and dropped off my final. I dropped off my final at 11:30 this morning, it is now nine o'clock at night and I am still hearing how I was wrong from Kurt.

We hit the weight room hard this morning. Almost the whole unit was there except for a couple of the guys who had scheduled finals during the time. Coach Lilja had a great plan for us as always, and as we started loading up the bars, a little competition began to form. Two of the senior offensive linemen began debating who could bench 315 lbs the most. As the older guys debated, some of the younger guys got intrigued and joined in on the competition as well. Now, I won't reveal who the winner of the competition was (because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, or hear about technicalities), but I will say that as a whole we had a bunch of fun and already have a date set for our next bench competition.

After we got done lifting, we hit the indoor practice facility for some stretching and position specific work. We got better and then hit the showers. The rest of the day was filled with boring finals work. Tomorrow the O-line will be getting another lift in and then will be getting into some Missouri Film. Thanks for reading, and as always, lets make San Antonio bleed purple! Go 'Cats!
