Instead of a lift, we had practice this morning. The practice was standard in all aspects, but with more of a focus on the older guys and the Missouri gameplan than anything else. We had the same drills we do everyday and the Cats started off a little slow. I could tell that the players did not have the "juice" that is so important to having a successful practice. However, as practice went on, we began to pick up the tempo and intensity. We ended practice on a good note and came to the understanding that although today we started slow, we cannot afford to start slow in the rest of our preparation for our bowl game.

After practice we had a players-only meeting. C.J. ran that meeting where we discussed what was expected out of our team once we get to San Antonio. After C.J. laid out what was to be expected of the Cats when we get down there, C.J. began his presentation of awards that he created. Now all the awards were just for fun and not meant to be serious. Mostly freshmen won them and the awards ceremony was a fun thing to do after practice to lighten the mood. After C.J.'s award ceremony the improv group the Titanic Players came and put on a great show. The Titanic Players are NU alums who do improv for different venues and events. Everyone had a really a great time and big thanks goes out to them for coming and performing in front of the football team.

Since the comedy show, we have just been taking it easy and resting up for tomorrow's practice. It is the last practice we have at NU before heading down to San Antonio, so I know a lot of the players are excited about that. Thanks for reading. Go Cats!
