I am exhausted. It has been a long day today. I woke up around seven and headed over to the stadium for the same routine. Breakfast, getting dressed, meetings and then practice. Practice today was a little different than it has been in the past two weeks. There was more of an emphasis on the older guys and the practice resembled what a normal Tuesday practice in season is like. We started off with special teams, followed by individual periods, followed by Combos (everyone's favorite drill), followed by interior, followed by one-on-one pass rush if you're a big guy and seven-on-seven if you're a skill set player, and then ended with team. It was good, people were flying around, and the offensive lineman even got to cut the defense in a couple of periods. I really like where the team is at right now. We are getting better everyday by practicing hard, watching film, and coming with the right attitude when we show up for practice. Another advantage we have over the Tigers is that they have finals this week and are not practicing, while we have two more weeks to get ready for the bowl game.

After practice my whole house met in the basement where we watched episodes of Family Feud, Jeopardy and Cash Cab. Kurt Mattes knows every answer to every question asked on Jeopardy and Cash Cab. There is no doubt in my mind that if he ever got the opportunity to play on one of those shows, he would destroy the competition. I guess it just happened to be a game show afternoon. We have those time to time at my house. Other themed days consist of: Food Channel days, Law and Order days, ESPN days, random movie days, and of course the Discovery Channel days (Fry's favorite). After we got bored watching game show TV, we thought it would be a good idea to pile on Kurt. Kurt was on the bottom, followed by Gill, Me, Woody (Mark Woodsum) and Fry on top. Then of course it was time to play "Monster Trucks." Everyone lays on the floor while one person rolls over all four of us. Everyone plays according to the rules until it is Kurt's turn. When Kurt begins to roll over us, the game turns into not allowing Kurt to go anywhere. Everyone once again piles on Kurt and annoys him until the point where he loses his mind. Once we get Kurt to the highest level of annoyance he can get, we stop playing because we know we have reached our ultimate goal.

After "Monster Trucks," we all headed to the stadium to catch the bus to Pin Stripes. We all had a really great time there. I primarily played Bocce Ball while a lot of the other players bowled. Pin Stripes treated us very well and it was great to see a lot of the Wildcats fans and alumni out there supporting us. Also, thanks to everyone who brought a toy or a lightly used coat. On a final note, I can't wait to get out of this weather and head down to San Antonio where I will see no snow, no snow plows, and will be able to trade in my winter boots for some open toed sandals. Thanks for reading. Go Cats!
