EVANSTON, Ill. -- After notching a 24-17 road victory at then-No. 20 Minnesota on Saturday, Northwestern has landed at No. 24 in this week's Bowl Championship Series (BCS) standings. The Wildcats (7-2) were ranked No. 22 in the initial standings two weeks ago.

Northwestern is ranked 25th in this week's USA Today Coaches' poll. The Wildcats came up one spot short of the top-25 in the other two polls, Associated Press and Harris Interactive.

The Wildcats will play their third nationally ranked foe in five weeks when they play host to Ohio State (7-2), which is ranked No. 11 in the latest BCS standings. The Buckeyes, who had an open date this past weekend, are ranked 12th in both the AP and coaches' polls.

Northwestern and Ohio State will kick off at 11 a.m. this Saturday, Nov. 8. The game, which is sold out, is being televised by ESPN2.
