Wildcats Head to ITA Midwest Regional

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Northwestern men's tennis faces off this weekend against competitors from around the Midwest at the 2008 Wilson/ITA Regional Championships hosted by Ohio State.

Wildcats Alex Sanborn (Houston, Texas/Kinkaid) and Marc Dwyer (Peachtree City, Ga./Nebraska Independent Study H.S.) are seeded ninth in the tournament and will face off against Matt Clegg and Matt Keesey of Wisconsin-Green Bay on Friday, not before 1:30 pm CT.

Sanborn and Dwyer are each also in the main singles draw, which will be released on Friday. Singles action will begin on Saturday.

In singles draw qualifying action on Thursday, sophomore Peter Rispoli (Naples, Fla./St. Stephen's (Texas)) fell in a tough three-setter to Iowa's Patrick Dwyer 7-6, 3-6, 6-3.
