Wildcats Welcome No. 11 Notre Dame To Combe Tennis Center

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Fresh off a 7-0 win over Butler last weekend, the Wildcats are set to welcome 11th-ranked Notre Dame to the Combe Tennis Center at 4 p.m. Thursday. The event is the men's tennis BIG GAME sponsored by Chipotle, with great prizes and free giveaways for students and fans in attendance!

Northwestern is 4-1 in dual matches in 2008, marking the best start for the Wildcats since the 2004-05 campaign. Sophomore captain Alex Sanborn is undefeated in dual play with a perfect 5-0 mark. Sanborn has two wins at No. 3 singles and three wins at No. 4.
The Wildcats have used the same doubles teams in every dual match so far this season. The No. 2 pair of graduate student Alexander Thams and freshman Peter Rispoli are 4-1 at No. 2. Mark Dwyer and Alex Sanborn have posted a 3-2 mark at No. 1.
After facing the Irish, NU hosts Bradley at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Combe Tennis Center.
