Kyle Bubolz Named Big Ten Swimmer of the Week

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Senior Kyle Bubolz (Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha North) has been named the Big Ten Swimmer of the Week following his performance at the star-studded Classic at SMU last weekend.
Swimming against a field of collegiate entries from three other ranked opponents and a post-graduate team of Texas All-Stars, Bubolz beat all college competition in his signature event, the 100 fly. Bubolz's time of 46.80 was an NCAA 'A' automatic qualification time, making him NU's first official entrant into the NCAA Championships.
Bubolz also swam as Northwestern's representative in the consolation final of the 100 free, turning in a season-best time of 44.51.
The honor is the second of Bubolz's career.
