COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Miserable weather conditions -- rain, wind and temperatures in the 30s -- forced the suspension of second-round action Saturday afternoon at the 37th Robert Kepler Intercollegiate, which is being held at Ohio State's Scarlet Course.

Tournament officials plan to resume the second round Sunday morning (time TBA), and then try and play the third round if time permits. An unfavorable weather forecast, however, also threatens to cancel the event. Stay tuned to NUsports.com for the latest updates.

Northwestern, the defending Kepler champ, was in fourth place, six strokes back of leader Louisville, when the tournament was suspended midway through the second round. Officially, however, the Wildcats are in a third-place tie with Michigan State after posting a first-round 11-over 295 on the par-71 course. Louisville and South Carolina were atop the leaderboard at 292 and 294, respectively. (Since the second round was not completed, only results from the first round are considered official.)

Individually, junior Kyle Moore (Dublin, Ohio/Scioto) was right at home on the Scarlet Course. The defending Kepler medalist shot a first-round 1-under 70 and is tied for first place with South Carolina's George Bryan IV and Louisville's Adam Hadwin. Through seven holes of the second round, Moore was a shot back of first place, trailing only MSU's Matt Harmon.

Senior David Merkow (Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead Union) is tied for eighth place with a 1-over 72 and freshman Jonathan Bowers (Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Watterson), who shot a 5-over 76 for the first 18, had a terrific second round going. He was 1-under after seven holes and in eighth place.

Junior Dan Doyle (Rochester, Mich./Stoney Creek) and senior Chris Wilson (Dublin, Ohio/Coffman) had respective first rounds of 77 and 79.

According to tournament officials, there will be no live stats coverage of the Kepler Intercollegiate on Sunday.

Live stats (through the suspended second round) for the Kepler Intercollegiate can be found at Kepler Intercollegiate.
