EVANSTON, Ill. -- Junior Alex Kiaie (Milwaukee, Wis./Nicolet) has earned his first-career Big Ten Diver of the Week honor after sweeping both boards in a double-dual meet against No. 4 Michigan and Wisconsin over the weekend.

Kiaie first captured the 1-meter event with a score of 322.65 before breaking his career-best score with a 342.50 on the 3-meter board, winning that event by more than 17 points. His previous career-best total in the event was a 336.55.

Both point totals were season-highs for Northwestern this year.

Kiaie's award is Northwestern's first Diver of the Week accolade from the Big Ten since senior Ryan McIntosh (Louisville, Ky./Trinity) won it as sophomore on Nov. 15, 2005.
