Jenny Dunn Named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Sophomore forward Jenny Dunn (Pacific Palisades, Calif./Louisville) has been named this week's Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week. This is the first honor of Dunn's career and the first for the Wildcats this season.
Dunn scored three goals over the weekend to help the 'Cats go 2-0. She tallied the first goal of the game and of the weekend as the Wildcats downed Northern Illinois, 3-1. Dunn continued her stellar performance on Sunday, breaking a 1-1 tie and adding another goal to Northwestern's 5-1 win against Western Michigan.
"She broke through some barriers this weekend," head coach Stephanie Erickson said after Sunday's win. "She is committed to getting better and we're seeing it. She is huge for us."
The Wildcats return to action at 4 p.m. Friday when they open Big Ten play by hosting Iowa at the Leonard B. Thomas Athletic Complex.
