EVANSTON, Ill. -- Three-time All-American and former NCAA single-season and career strikeout record holder Lisa Ishikawa-Sliwa has been nominated to the NCAA's 25th Anniversary team fan poll ballot.

Blazing the trail by which all of today's pitchers are judged, Ishikawa-Sliwa was the benchmark of collegiate pitching during the early years of NCAA softball. As a freshman in 1984, she set the NCAA single-season strikeout record with 469. She concluded her career with the then-NCAA record of 1,200 whiffs.

A three-time All-American who pitched Northwestern to four Big Ten championships and three Women's College World Series berths, Ishikawa-Sliwa concluded her career with a 0.47 ERA and 97 wins.

To honor the 25th Anniversary of NCAA Women's Championships, a team consisting of 10 student-athletes and one coach will be named to commemorate the event with your help! To vote for Lisa, link to Women's Division I Softball fan poll.
