EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern head coach Keylor Chan has released his squad's spring competition schedule for 2006. The Wildcats will compete in three different tournaments and on four separate dates during the month of April.

Northwestern begins its spring practice Monday, March 27, and takes the court for its first competition Saturday, April 1, at Creighton.

The Wildcats then are in action for the next three consecutive Saturdays, participating in the Loyola (Ill.) tournament on April 8, at the UW-Milwaukee tournament April 15 and in the Great Lakes Center tournament in Aurora, Ill., April 22.

"We are very excited to get back on the court and begin getting better as a team," Chan said. "We had a great spring last year and it really set the stage for our NCAA Tournament run during the season. We will face some quality competition next month, and we are looking forward to seeing how we start to come together heading into 2006."

Spring practice concludes Friday, April 28.
