Northwestern Resumes Play at Tulsa

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern's 55th-ranked men's tennis team returns to action at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 versus No. 52 Tulsa. The Wildcats, who are looking to win their second-consecutive match after beating Harvard last week, look to improve upon their 4-4 record this season.
The Wildcats enter the match after topping No. 40 Harvard 4-3 last week.
The Wildcats boast two players who already have earned 10 or more singles wins this season. Junior Christian Tempke (Wentorf, Germany/Gymnasium Lohbrügge) has recorded a 12-6 singles record and has played No. 1 singles for a majority of the season. Tempke has won three-consecutive matches heading into the Tulsa dual.
Senior captain Adam Schaechterle (Oconomowoc, Wis./Kettle Moraine) is 10-6 this year while playing at the No. 6 spot in most of Northwestern's duels. Schaechterle is coming off a 6-0, 6-0 win over Harvard's Michael Kalfayan.
The Golden Hurricane are 6-1 this season after beating Oral Roberts 7-0 Friday.
The Golden Hurricane's 39th-ranked Ricardo Soriano, 73rd-ranked Diego Camacho and 45th-ranked doubles tandem of Will Gray and Federico Soriano lead Tulsa into the match.
The Wildcats came away with a 4-3 victory against Tulsa last season.
Following the Tulsa match, Northwestern returns to action at 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 12 against Oral Roberts.
