EVANSTON, Ill. -- Senior Matt Grevers (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) earned Big Ten Swimmer of the Week honors following No. 8 Northwestern's season-opening win over No. 12 Indiana, marking the seventh time in his career he has been tabbed for the award.

Grevers won two individual events with NCAA cut times, tying for first in the 100 back with an 'A' standard of 47.24 before reaching a 'B' time of 20.07 in winning the 50 free. He also swam legs on both of Northwestern's winning relays in the meet.

The Wildcats return to action at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, against No. 23 Purdue at the Norris Aquatics Center.
