EVANSTON, Ill. - Senior Chuck Perrin (Atlanta, Ga./The Walker School) has earned his first-career Big Ten Athlete of the Week honor after leading Northwestern to a 4-3 win over Minnesota and 5-2 win over Iowa this past weekend.

Perrin has continued to heat up for the 'Cats in recent competition, winning four of his last five singles matches at the No. 3 slot. At Minnesota, he provided a clinching 6-3, 6-7, 6-4 win to break a 3-3 tie. Another singles win from Perrin at Iowa helped push the 'Cats above .500 in conference play to a 4-3 mark. He also has become a fixture at No. 1 doubles, where he has won his last five matches alongside fellow senior Tommy Hanus. The duo is a perfect 4-0 in conference play.

Perrin is the first Wildcat to earn weekly honors since Hanus on January 20, 2005.
