FRESNO, Calif. -- After receiving close to an inch of rain over the past four days and with more falling this morning, No. 22 Fresno State has canceled its doubleheader with No. 23 Northwestern scheduled for Tuesday night.
The rains have filled to capacity the playing surface's drainage system and rendered the field unplayable.
The Wildcats are next in action Thursday, March 24, at the Stanford Classic beginning at 1 p.m. CT against UNLV. NU is also scheduled to play St. Mary's, Hawaii, No. 3 Stanford and Illinois during the three-day tournament.
