
Hupman Swims First NCAA Championships Event

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Northwestern began the NCAA Championships Thursday with freshman Andrea Hupman (Lawrenceville, Ga./Brookwood) swimming the 50 freestyle in a time of 23.21 to tie for 37th in her first-ever Championships event.
The Wildcats will have all three of their qualifiers in action Friday. Senior Christy Olin (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard West) will swim the 100 fly while senior Brielle Bovee (Winter Park, Fla./Lake Highland Prep) will compete in the 100 breast.
Hupman returns to action Friday in the 200 freestyle.
On Saturday, Olin will swim the 200 fly, Bovee will compete in the 200 breast and Hupman will swim the 100 free.
