EVANSTON, Ill. - SoccerBuzz, one of the premier websites for women's college soccer, has announced its postseason honors for 2004, and two Northwestern women received recognition.

Freshman forward Kelsey Hans was a triple honoree, earning a spot on the second-team Freshman All-America squad as well as second-team All-Great Lakes Region and Great Lakes Region All-Freshman. The Wildcats' leading scorer in 2004 set a school record for goals (15), as well as the marks for Big Ten goals (7) and points (15). She also was named second-team All-Big Ten and Big Ten All-Freshman this season.

Sophomore midfielder Shannon Schneeman -- a second-team All-Big Ten selection this year and a member of last year's Big Ten All-Freshman Team -- joined Hans as a second-team All-Great Lakes Region selection. Schneeman finished the season with five assists in Big Ten play, tying a school record, and set a school mark by scoring four goals against Colorado College in August.
