EVANSTON, Ill. - Redshirt freshman Stephanie Jurivich recorded a team-high 13 kills Sunday morning in the NU Labor Day Invite to lead the Wildcats in their 3-0 victory over Bowling Green.
With the win, the 'Cats remain unbeaten at 2-0.
NU dominated most of the match, getting tested by the Falcons occasionally, but the 'Cats ultimately won convincingly.
After starting in her first collegiate game the previous night against IPFW, freshman middle blocker Stefanie Alde turned in another solid performance with the team's highest hitting percentage of. 429.
Junior libero Christie Gardner anchored the back line for the 'Cats with 14 digs.
NU will face its toughest opponent of the tournament Sunday evening in a prime-time, 7 p.m. showdown with No. 4 Florida. The marquee matchup will be the final match of the NU Labor Day Invite. The Gators rolled through both IPFW and Bowling Green in earlier tournament matches, winning both contests 3-0.
