HONOLULU, Hawaii -- The final day of the Hawaii Invitational has been canceled after two days of steady drizzle and intermittent downpours, leaving the University of Hawaii softball field under water. Northwestern was scheduled to play No. 24 Texas and a Japanese squad from Tokyo today.

The Wildcats finished the Hawaii Invite with a 3-1 record, including an exhibition game win over Japan's Nittaidai University. The 'Cats' overall record now stands at 14-5.

The Wildcats will return to action Wednesday, March 24, in Fullerton, Calif., with a 7 p.m. CST doubleheader against Cal State Fullerton. NU's spring break swing concludes with a game against No. 9 Washington March 26 in Fullerton.
