EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern senior guard Jitim Young was named to the all-tournament team at the 2004 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament. The announcement was made following Sunday's championship game, in which Wisconsin defeated Illinois 70-53.

Despite playing just two games in the tournament, Young tied a tournament record with 11 steals. He also set a tournament single-game record with eight steals in Thursday's opening-round win against Penn State. Young also led NU in scoring Friday vs. Michigan State.

Young -- a first-team All-Big Ten selection this year -- was the only player named to the five-member all-tournament team who did not play in Sunday's final. The rest of the team featured two Badgers and two Illini.
