EVANSTON, Ill. -- After the first day of competition at the NCAA Diving Zone Qualifying meet in Bloomington, Ind., sophomore Mike Oxman (Brown Deer, Wis./Nicolet) sits in 13th position overall.

Oxman earned a score of 425.20 in the meet's first event, the three-meter board. He is currently 15.5 points behind 12th place Marc Dreyer of Ohio State. Timo Klami of Iowa won the event with 576.00 points. Twenty-four divers are participating in the Zone.

The meet continues tomorrow with the one-meter board and concludes Sunday with the platform. The winners of each event and the top three in points who do not win an individual board advance to the NCAA Championships March 25-27 in Long Island, N.Y.
