EVANSTON, Ill. - The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced Thursday the All-District Academic Team members for women's basketball. Northwestern guard Samantha McComb was named to the second team for District V.
The co-captain is one of three Big Ten players honored in District V and is joined by Kadidja Andersson (Minnesota), Sarah Kustok (DePaul), Chris Kutschinski (Illinois State), and Ashley Luke (DePaul) on the second team. Kate Endress (Ball State), Beth Jones (Purdue), Genny Mueller (Bradley), Pam O'Connor (Eastern Illinois), and Abby Scharlow (Wisconsin-Green Bay) are first team selections.
McComb currently leads the Wildcats in scoring with 10.5 ppg. She set a career-high 22 points this season and matched that number twice. Despite missing over a month due to injury, McComb is fourth on the team in assists (400) and has led the 'Cats in scoring five times this season.
